雅思 口語描述一個故事

故事是大家都喜歡聽的,叫你用用于介紹一個你聽過的故事,知道怎么去表達(dá)嗎?下面是雅思口語描述一個故事的方法,跟小編一起來了解下吧:

Describe a story someone told you when you were a child.

You should say:

who told you the story;

who the main character was;

what the story was about;

and explain why you remember this story.

When I was a little child, my mother told me a story about 12 Chinese Zodiac signs. It’s exactly about the sequence of animal year. It was coming up to the New Year. Twelve animals were arguing. There were a rat, an ox, a tiger, a sheep, a rabbit, a dragon, a snake, a dog, a horse, a rooster, a monkey, and a pig. They thought the New Year should have a name. They were arguing because each animal wanted the year to be named after himself. There was such a noise that they disturbed the Jade Emperor.

“Whatever is the matter with you, animals?” Jade Emperor asked. One by one, they explained their problem. The Jade Emperor asked the animals to take part in a swim race across the big river. They he would decide the name of this New Year after the winner of the race. All animals agreed but each one secretly thought that they would be the winner. They all hurried to the river and lined up for the race. With a mighty splash, the animals leaped into the river and started swimming as fast as they could towards the other side.

The rat wasn’t the best swimmer but he was clever enough to grab and hold the ox’s tail, who was going to be the first one to win the race. Just before the ox reached the other side of the river, the rat leaped over his head onto the bank. Then this New Year was named the year of the rat. Ox was the second. Therefore the Jade Emperor names each New Year after each of the animal in the same order that he finished the race.

I remembered the story because of my mother’s vivid description. Besides that, I once asked my parents how ancient Chinese people decide the sequence of 12 Chinese Zodiac signs. The story is one version of the answer, which may not be true but very persuasive. I think the story could be passed down from generation to generation since it conveys part of the Chinese ancient culture. I like the story for it shows the rich imagination and creativity of our ancestors.

Describe an interesting story you saw on TV.

You should say:

what the story was

who was in the story

and explain why you remember it

Sample answer:

I'm pretty sure everyone got a clue of what "The Terminator" (終結(jié)者)is about.

The story is about the war between Human and Cyborgs:A terminator is sent from the future to prevent John Connor being borned. John Connor is the leader of those who fight against the terminators. The terminator's job is then to hunt down the mother of the leader, Sarah Connor.

I first saw the film version at the age of six or seven and unsurprisingly it confused me. A few years later I caught it again on Television and loved it. I was browsing through New Oriental School's video stores a few months ago and it caught my eye and brought me back to childhood.

This is the most groundbreaking action TV back in the day. The story develops quickly and each character is different. I watched closely to understand what's happening and there's no way you could fall asleep.There are good performances and tons of humorous bits throughout the episodes that lighten up such a suspenseful, frightening story.

"Terminator" is an impressive masterpiece because it offers me food for meditation. Science now performs miracles like the gods of old, creating life from blood cells, or bacteria, or a spark of metal. But those are perfect creatures. And in that way, they couldn't be less human. We appreciate beauty, create art, obviously we all have weak moments, moments where we lose faith. But it's our flaws, our weaknesses, that make us human. There are things machines will never do.

雅思口語描述難忘的故事

Describe a memorable story told by someone

You should say:

Who told you the story?

When you heard the story

What the story was about

Why you found it memorable

范文:

The story that i remember quite clearly is called the Race Between the Hare and the Tortoise. It was told by my father when i was about 6 years old. The story goes like this: an arrogant here thought the was the fastest animal in the forest. Quite interestingly, a tortoise wanted to challenge him. The hare laughed very hard because it sounded very ridiculous to him. The tortoise wanted to have a race with him.

The race attracted all the animals in the forest. A staring line was made and off the hare and tortoise went. The hare was very fast, so he was far ahead, then he took a rest. The tortoise, however, kept moving forward slowly but surly. By the time the tortoise came up, his opponent was sleeping. The hare didn’t wake up until it was too late. The winner was the tortoise. It’s a quite simple but meaningful story. It teaches us that, as long as we stick to our goals, we will reach it, no matter what.

Describe an interesting story from a TV program

I once heard a piece of news on TV which I findpretty interesting.

One day a girl found a dead rat in front of herdoor. But this kind of thing happens a lot in the cityduring winter, so she didn’t pay much attention to it. However, the next day, there was a dead bird on thedoorstep of her house. She thought it was just some pranks played by those naughty kids fromthe neighborhood. But the same thing happened for a week! She started to get furious and alsoa little scared. So she set up a hidden camera on the door, trying to find out the truth, whichreally gave her a big surprise.

The criminal was a cat! She left those dead bodies in front of her house every day atmidnight, so every morning the girl would walk into a scene of crime.

She was confused, and had no idea why the cat would deliver those gross and terrifyingbodies to her. But after watching the video for like 10 times, she suddenly recognized that cat. It was the one she rescued a few weeks back.

She recalled that when she first met the cat, it was bleeding heavily. But actually all shedid was bandage the wound up and gave the cat something to eat. She never thought the catwould return the favor that way. It must have thought that dead rats and birds are the mostpalatable stuff in the world, so it tried to show its gratitude by offering what it thought wasthe best.

I think this story is really cute and interesting.
