》舊托福TWE題庫185道中有六題比較題型，特別之處是比較一項(xiàng)建筑計(jì)劃的利弊：你贊成還是反對(duì)在你的臨近地區(qū)--建筑新的工廠？餐館？商場(chǎng)？戲院？學(xué)校？大學(xué)？

回答此類問題不可以腳踏兩條船。開頭第一句就應(yīng)該表明答題的立場(chǎng)作為文章的主題。不過，如果你的立場(chǎng)是贊成，卻也讓步說一說別人反對(duì)的原因。相反的，如果你的立場(chǎng)是反對(duì)，也照樣給贊成者的意見說話的機(jī)會(huì)。在文章的結(jié)尾，又再度重申立場(chǎng)--贊成或反對(duì)。（這類題目不會(huì)有中間立場(chǎng)。）
