原：Comparing with the money people earns, the sense of achievement is more important。

改：Compared with the money people earns, the sense of achievement is more important。

評：此處是動詞compare的現(xiàn)在分詞和過去分詞使用混淆了。在英語中，動詞的現(xiàn)在分詞往往表示的是主動的意思，過去分詞則表示被動的含義。原句想表達(dá)的是將成就感與錢相比，把與相比是明顯的被動含義，因此應(yīng)該使用compared。

雅思寫作常見語法錯誤之2. 時態(tài)混亂

原：Although I have no work experience when I was a teenager, I always dreamed about having a job。

改：Although I had no work experience when I was a teenager, I always dreamed about having a job。

評：雖然雅思[微博]寫作以議論文為主，為了表示客觀性，基本上使用的都是現(xiàn)在時態(tài)，但是在舉例的時候還是會涉及到一些過去時態(tài)，例如上面的句子，切記：主從句時態(tài)要保持一致。

原：Internet plays an important and indispensible role in peoples life today。

改：Internet plays an indispensible role in peoples life today。

評：這個句子一看就知道是作者為了使用高級詞匯而犯下的錯誤。明明已經(jīng)有Important來表示重要性了，又強(qiáng)行加上了indispensible來表示不可缺少，這種說法只有在中國政府工作報告中才會出現(xiàn)的，老美是不喜歡的!

雅思寫作常見語法錯誤之4. 用詞不當(dāng)：用詞不當(dāng)包括詞性混淆，同義詞錯用以及固定搭配錯誤等。

詞性混淆：

原句：A large number of people hold the believe that students social activities should be the first priority。

改：A large number of people hold the belief that students social activities should be the first priority。

評：這個例子中believe是動詞，belief才是名詞形式。雖然發(fā)音相近，但是用法卻完全不同。

同義詞錯用：

原句：Its indeed that people are worrying about the increasing population。

改：Its true that people are worrying about the increasing population。

評：雖然二者都表示真的，indeed卻沒有its indeed that的結(jié)構(gòu)，此處只能用true來表示。

固定搭配錯誤：

原句：As a friend and mentor, she drew from humor, a beautiful spirit and her faith in the Aboriginal culture to accomplish her work。

改：As a friend and mentor, she drew on humor, a beautiful spirit and her faith in the Aboriginal culture to accomplish her work。

評：draw from: 從中汲取(經(jīng)驗(yàn)等)， draw on:借鑒(經(jīng)驗(yàn)等)作者本想使用一個高級的表達(dá)法，結(jié)果用錯了，很可惜。
