雅思口語(yǔ)P3參考回答素材分享

Part3

1.Whats your definition of success?

In my opinion, success is the status of having achieved and accomplished an aim or objective. Being successful means the achievement of desired visions and planned goals. Whether it is a big one or a small one, as long as we work hard toward it and finally achieve it, we are successful. Although I admit that being wealthy and famous is a common sign of success, I would argue that the biggest success for a person is to be always able to achieve inner peace and joy. This may requrie lots of learning and practice.

2.What things do children try to succeed in?

I guess children would try to succeed in drawing others attention. That is why you can find many naughty children shouting and crying in public places like shopping malls, which is quite annoying. Actually, this is simply because children can hardly control their behaviour when they are too young, or they are lacking the sense of security. Besides, young students would try to improve their academic performance at school. Similary, they may spend time practicing skills like drawing, singing, or playing sports. Being successful in these areas can better prepare them for future studies and careers.

3.Which do you think is more important for people to become successful? Hard work or opportunities?

In my opinion, hard work is more important for people to succeed. The main reason is that no one is born to be successful, only by constant learning and practice can we increase the knowledge, skills and experience that we need to achieve our goals. For example, top sports players like Kobe Bryant and Lionel Messi are famous for their strict workouts and training routines. Actually, the more you focus on something and take action connected to it, the more doors you will open and the more likely you have the chance to succeed. I tend to agree with the saying thatopportunities are usually disguised as hard work, so most people dont recognize them.

4.Do you think people will be happy if they dont have any goals to achieve?

Em, I suppose it is possible that people would be happy if they dont have goals. Having no goals may mean that people have no expectations of others or the future. No expectations, no disappointments. So people might feel satisfied with their current situation and wont worry about anything, enjoying an easier life. However, I dont think people can stay happy if they have no goals to achieve. Although the duration of happiness we could gain from achievements can be short, we still need to be encouraged and inspired by goals at work or in life, otherwise we would end up wasting time doing meaningless things and feeling bored.
