Violence appears more often in films and televisions,and meanwhile the crimes especially juvenile delinquency are increasingly sever than ever before.Therefore, there are some people who argue that the government should decrease the amount of violence in movies on TV so as to minimize the crimes. Personally, I believe this method is meaningless as this cannot bring about the outcomes that we expected.

First of all, there was no direct relationship between crimes and the amount of violent plots in movies,as the culprits of lawbreaking events are diversified.In other words, most viewers who watch the violent film are adults, and they have a clear distinction between virtual reality and real life. They have a clear consciousness that the exciting parts of the film are just sensationalizing the crimes and realized by the movies special effects so as to expand the readership and achieve the box office success,which cannot be actualized in the daily life.

Moreover, violence plots have their essential effects in the films. Apart from refreshment and excitement that people can obtain from these films, what I want to mention here is the admonishing effects of violent films. Some violent plot are based on the real cases happened in world war one and two and other real conflicts, and through these plots people can directly be conscious of the consequences of war which are dire and immeasurable ,which cultivates peoples senses of crisis and make the modern people who have not experienced the war to cherish the era of peace.

Admittedly，the violence on TV an films can exert unfavorable influences on value systems and behaviors,especially on the young people who are not mature enough to distinguish right from wrong.It is because that if children and teenagers were exposed to massive violent films without the guidance and supervision of their parents, they would be deeply impressed by these film plots，and tend to mimic these behaviors when encountering the similar scene in the real life, by which I mean there would be more likelihood for them to commit crimes because of watching films.

In conclusion, it seems to me that the amount of violence on TV should not be declined. Rather than cut down the plots directly, the government should carefully grade the films according to the amount of violence and pornographic information in the films, thereby defining the age of viewers and ensuring that the children are not adversely affected, just as most western countries already did.
