7分答案:
1)What kinds of famous people are there in your country?
Part3答案1
I think the people who are famous in my country are those who have excelled in their own fields, such as the tech industry, sports, acting, art, leadership, engineering and many more. For example, Yao Ming is one of the best-known athletes in China, who has played in both Chinese Basketball Association and the National Basketball Association in the US; he was also elected into the Basketball Hall of Fame in NBA. Not only is he talented and dedicated, he is also known for his great sense of humor. Another example would be the Nobel Prize winner in Medicine, Tu Yoyo. She was the first female in the country to receive a Nobel Prize and she made a great contribution to the entire human race by discovering a treatment for malaria.
2)What are the differences between famous people today and those in the past?
Part3答案2
In the past, most of the celebrities, whether they are politicians, scientists, businesspeople, athletes, actors/actresses - they were famous because of their distinguished accomplishments in their own fields after years of hard work and dedication. Nowadays, due to the development of the internet and social media, there are many more ways to attract fame. For example, some people who have no special talents other than to expose their daily lives on reality TV or video hosting websites are now famous. In addition, a lot of famous people today are media-made, meaning all sources of media can make any good-looking person a star overnight, regardless of whether they deserve the fame or not.
3)Do you think famous people are necessarily good in their fields?
Part3答案3
Not necessarily in the current state of affairs. There is no doubt that the majority of famous people gain their fame by making great accomplishments in their own fields. For instance, the business accomplishments of successful entrepreneurs like Jack Ma and Elon Musk made these two gentlemen world famous. Others have gained fame through mastery of other fields, such as those who have made huge contributions to our society and went on to win the Nobel Prize for their contributions. But nowadays we belong to an era of internet and social media. A lot of people can obtain their fame by simply being outspoken on the internet, making a fool of themselves, or by adopting a unique style on social media.
4) Do you think media are putting too much attention on famous people?
