I dont think anyone would like to talk deeply about this topic because suffering from a disease is a painful experience that we all try to avoid. I recalled I once suffered from food poisoning on a trip.

I flew to lake Tahoe with my friends for winter skiing a couple of years ago. It was a very short trip that only lasted for 3 days. I was excited and energetic and I had so much fun exercising. It was a warm winter at that time, so simply being in the mountain was pleasant enough. Most of the time we ate at formal restaurants near the ski resorts so everyone was fine. On the last day of our ski trip, I split with my friends after we finished some long ski runs. I stopped by a caf up in the mountainit was a place meant for skiers to take a break in the middle of the runand I ordered a cup of coffee and a cheesecake in their fridge. I didnt pay much attention to the quality of the food or how long it had been sitting in the fridgeI was simply too hungry and tired and I swallowed the entire cake quickly. Oddly, I didnt realize anything unusual except the flavor was a bit too rich for me.

On my flight back home, I felt nausea at my seat. I dont usually get car sick so that was extremely strange for me. A couple of minutes later, I couldnt stand it anymore and needed to head to the restroom - the simple nausea turned into full-on diarrhea and non-stop vomiting. I spent an hour in the restroom on the flight where my friends came to check on me after seeing I was gone for so long. After I arrived home, I thought the symptoms would go away by themselves but they stayed just as strongly for 2 days. I ended up going to a clinic and they helped stopped the symptoms with prescribed medications and recommended some protein shakes to expedite the recovery process.

The worst part of this incident was that I couldnt eat normal foods and had no strength to go to work when I kept vomiting and having diarrhea. Its extremely important to go to formal dining places and make sure everything we eat is neither contaminated nor expired.
