As the world becomes more complex, some things do, of course, standardize and globalize, with enormous activities undertaken without reference to international borders. Some people are quite enjoying the life that the cultural globalization brings, whereas others raise doubts about this. Personally, I believe that the merits overshadow the demerits.

First of all, the exchange of culture could enhance mutual understanding, create goodwill and remove the hostility and prejudice between different nations. In the past, people who lived in Europe or other regions used to regard China as a deprived place as they can only acquire the information from few Chinese films in which the protagonist in the story came from the countryside, but now with more Chinese films coming to the international stage, foreigners have a more comprehensive and objective understanding of China, even if they have never been here.

Besides, globalization is also a vital process toward transferring knowledge and products throughout the world. In other words, people can enjoy cultural achievements by artists all over the world, which substantially enriches peoples daily life. Meanwhile, the commercials produced by the advanced technique can also be shared to help people deal with their everyday hassles. For example, numerous mothers, including myself, are keen to buy the Japanese cosmeceuticals for their babies as the effect of treating the slight illness such as eczema is really instant, but the price of them is relatively economical.

Admittedly, people who are against the cultural globalization have their own reasons. After all, the cultural globalization may extinguish cultural individuality and diversity of minor countries and minority groups. In such circumstances, most people may prefer the big bands with global clout rather than the domestic brands, by which I mean nowadays the market share of the true homebred brand is limited, with only 20% or less. However, facing the fierce competition, the pressure should be converted into motivation, which makes the domestic brands find their own uniqueness and enhance the brand competitiveness.

In conclusion, it seems to me that although the globalization has some adverse influences on our lives, there are actually more benefits brought about by this tendency.
