In spite of the fact that a growing number of adults migrated abroad to find better occupations, they also decided to take their families to accompany them. Some people believe this decision is quite reasonable, whereas others raise doubts about this. Personally, I believe that the merits overshadow the demerits.

First of all, taking family together with these migrant workers can substantially enhance their family bonding. It is undeniable that parents play an irreplaceable role in the growth of their children, and the elderly need effective company when growing old. Therefore, such behaviours can largely deal with the above problems. Even in the initial stage, the family have to encounter the adversity caused by communicative barriers and other factors, mutual help during this period also directly strengthens the relationship between them.

Besides, the alternation provides an excellent opportunity for childrens language development. Especially for Chinese people who regard English as an indispensable skill for future development, by migrating to an English speaking country, their children have no choice but to practise English in the real situation, during which time they also acquire the cultures behind the language and form different thinking patterns. In other words, not only can these children learn the authentic language, but lateral thinking can also be cultivated throughout this period.

Admittedly, there would be a tendency to be isolated if the adaptability of their family members is not that well. After all, communication misunderstandings and ambiguities resulting from cultural differences do exist, which may demotivate them in the initial stage and they will become reluctant to step outside. However, before going abroad, these family members can take relevant training courses to prepare for their future life, and after going abroad, it is very important for migrants to provide timely support and help to their families.

In conclusion, it seems to me that although migration has some adverse influences on their lives, there are actually more benefits brought about by this tendency.
