The person who apologized to me is my dad. It was a long time ago when I was inkindergarten. Usually I wouldn’t remember things that happened that far back, but it was reallyan unforgettable experience.

That day, my dad forgot to pick me up after school, usually that was my mom’s job, butshe was out of town that day. I had no money on me, and I didn’t have a phone back then. Iwaited for him in front of the school gate for about 3 hours, and he still didn’t show up after itgot dark. I was starving and scared. It felt like I was abandoned, you know. But it turned outthat my dad completely forgot about me. After having dinner with his friends, he just wentstraight home, and he was a little tipsy so he fell asleep soon after he got home. When hewoke up, he realized no one’s home. And that’s when he suddenly remembered he wassupposed to pick me up that day. He rushed to my school, and I was sitting on the curbcrying. My dad ran to me and hugged me real tight. He was terribly sorry and promised that hewould never do anything stupid like this again. And we didn’t tell my mom what happened,mostly because my dad asked me not to. I’m sure she would be furious if she finds out.

I've got a family with five members. All of us are very close to each other and I love them very much. Among them I admire my father most. He is the person who influences me more than anyone else in the whole world.

I adore my father for his loving, patient and understanding. He treats me like a equal friend while most Chinese parents do not, and that's the reason why I worship him so much.

I couldn’t remember many things before my four years old. But I remember that I always think my father is handsome, even when I was a toddler. And at that time I went to a kindergarten and I learnt basic Chinese there. One day, I leave kindergarten with dramatic crying. My father asked me what happen. I answered that the other kids laughed at me because I pronounced a Chinese character in a wrong way in front of the class. And that was a word that my Dad taught me last night. Guess what? My father even said sorry to me and he said he would be more concentrated on teaching me correctly. I felt that he respected me even though I was a little kid and I was his son. That’s my first memory of him.

Before I went to high school, I saw my father every day; and before I went to college, I saw him every week. But after my eighteen, I came to Wuhan for university education. There have been three years that I can only see him during summer and winter vacation. I haven’t met him since February. I've got lots of things that I can't wait to share with him face to face and I long to eat his cooking.
