【7分】Good User.Has operational command of the language，though with occasional inaccuracies，inappropriateness and misunderstandings in some situations.Generally handles complex language well and understands detailed reasoning.良好，有能力運用英語，雖然在某些情況下有時會造成不準確、不適當和誤解的情況，大致掌握復雜的英語，也理解其全部內容。
【6分】Competent User.The candidate has generally effective command of the language despite some inaccuracies，inappropriateness and misunderstandings. The candidate can use and understand fairly complex language，particularly in familiar situations.（澳大利亞移民、英國留學分數(shù)線）及格，雖然有不準確、不適當和誤解的情況發(fā)生，但大致能有效地運用英語，能使用并理解相當復雜的英語，特別是在熟悉的情況下。
【5分】Modest User. The candidate has partial command of the language，coping with overall meaning in most situations，though he is likely to make many mistakes. The candidate should be able to handle basic communication in own field.（加拿大移民、新西蘭移民分數(shù)線）適當及格，可部分運用英語，在大多數(shù)情況下可應付全部的意思，雖然可能犯下許多錯誤，在自身領域內應可掌握基本的溝通技巧。
【4分】Limited User. The candidates competence is limited to familiar situations.The candidate has frequent problems in understanding and expression.He is not able to use complex language.（英國預科分數(shù)線）水平有限，只限在熟悉的狀況下有基本的理解力，在理解與表達上常出現(xiàn)問題，無法使用復雜英語。
【3分】Extremely Limited User. The candidate can convey and understand only general meaning in very familiar situations. His frequent breakdowns in communication occur.水平極其有限，在極熟悉的情況下，只能進行一般的溝通理解，溝通中經常出現(xiàn)問題。
【2分】Intermittent User.No real communication is possible except for the most basic information using isolated words or short formulae in familiar situations and to meet immediate needs.Has great difficulty understanding spoken and written English.
偶爾使用英語者，只能在熟悉的情況下使用單詞和短句表達基本的信息，語言輸出能力極差。
【1分】Non User. The candidate essentially has no ability to use the language beyond possibly a few isolated words.非英語使用者，只能零星說出幾個單詞，無法用英語溝通。
