1. Do you think neighbors are important?
常見的提問方法為 “Do you think …is important/necessary?” 相信很多考生都比較熟悉“遠(yuǎn)親不如近鄰”這個諺語,“A distant relative is not as helpful as a near neighbor”。 畢竟,又如中國古話說,“抬頭不見低頭見”, “be bound to see much of each other”.
赡軙艿轿幕绊?,引用一些中國的諺語等,這個時候都可以用 “As the old Chinese saying goes” 引出。
Sample
Of course, that’s for sure. Cause you know you are bound to see much of each other, when you go to work or when you get back home, or in the lift and so on. They can provide you with some immediate help. Just as the traditional Chinese saying goes, “A distant relative is not as helpful as a near neighbor”. Besides, a healthy, strong relationship can enhance your happiness of living in the community.
引申:
Do you think it’s are important to have a good relationship with one’s neighbors?
Sample
Yes, absolutely. For example, when you go for a work trip, and you can ask your neighbor to take care of your pet or to watch out your house for you occasionally. You know, crimes like burglars or robbery can be greatly reduced through a helpful neighbor. So it’s really practical to have a good relationship with your neighbors.
2. Do you think people’s relationships with their neighbors today is the same as it was in the past?
How do you think the neighbor relationship has changed in China in recent years?
Do you think it’s common in China to not know each other’s neighbors?
Sample
Maybe not. You know in the past, most Chinese people live in a big yard, they share some public facilities, send each other homemade food, visit each others’ home all the time, it’s like they are a big family. However, nowadays, most of the people live in apartments, and they shut the door after work. It’s common in China right now to not know your neighbors at all. They are already totally different.
3. Why do you think is that?/ What are the reasons behind that?
Sample
Well, there are many factors for that. You know, modern people are all busy with their life and suffer from a lot of stress. So they don’t want to still suffer from the pressure of socializing after work. There is no doubt to say that modern people tend to be very indifferent towards others. They couldn’t trust others easily.
4. What are the benefits of belonging to a community?
Belong to a community
Sample
There are plenty of them. For one thing, you can experience the sense of security. You, as part of the community, there is a whole group of people behind your back. If you come across some problems, they will help you like your friends and families. More importantly, belonging to a community can help you, with others together contribute to it, making a better community. You know, when you are actually living in a community, there are a lot of things couldn’t be done by one single person. If you are really part of it, you would really want it better.
1. Do you like to look for new apps or just keep using the old ones?
Look for new ones ;
use the old ones ;
keeping the old ones while looking for new ones
1. 舊的app用過了,失去新鮮感don’t feel excited using old apps. 例如如果游戲APP的話里面的環(huán)節(jié)都清楚了you are familiar with what’s going on in it / know the contents清楚內(nèi)容,而每個月都有很多新的app,a large number of new applications,可以有很多新鮮好玩的download them for fun,空閑的時候有更多的APP來打發(fā)時間kill time;
2. 新的APP有時候是舊app的更新it could be a new version of old apps / an upgraded version,所以內(nèi)容可能更豐富,用起來界面可能更友好more user-friendly,更多特色add more features;
3. 搜索新的應(yīng)用可以拿來跟舊的做比較,compare with the old Apps,從而知道最適合自己的或者最好用的版本find the best app or get the one that suits me well,方便自己的使用。
舊的APP大部分都免費free of charge/ can be downloaded for free / don’t need to pay for them,而新的APP很多都需要收費most of new apps will charge / have to pay for them,所以不愿意下載新的;
APP,there is no extra space for new applications,而且很多新的應(yīng)用都很大,占用內(nèi)存多occupy a lot of space;習(xí)慣了用老的get used to the old ones,所以不愿意刪掉don’t want to get rid of them / remove them。
I am that kind of person who don’t like looking for new applications. It is not only because I get used to the old ones on my phone. It is also inconvenient to download new ones since the storage of my phone is quite small. I don’t have enough space for them. Besides, most of new applications would charge a small amount of fee if you want to download. So I prefer the old free ones.
2. Do you use free apps or the ones that you need to pay for?
1. 收費的APP沒有廣告,there would not be any advertisements/commercials popping out when you are using it,用pop out 表達(dá)突然跳出來,而免費的應(yīng)用可能隨時都有煩人的廣告跳出來很煩it’s annoying,但是又必須要忍受Have to bear with it;
2. 收費的APP往往功能更多come with more functions,畫面更好看better graphics/images,音樂更好聽better music等等;收費的軟件也更加安全robust application security,能保證自己的信息不泄露there is guarantee that my personal date will be safe from being hacked。
可能是因為不喜歡花錢購買程序don’t want to pay for applications,是個人的喜好personal preference,而且總能找到免費的作為收費軟件的替代品you could always find alternative for those apps that charge money;而且,可以是因為用免費的軟件更有靈活度,萬一不喜歡可以隨時刪掉不心疼錢can stay flexible, when I need to delete it I just do it等等。
I prefer to use free applications because I would like to stay flexible. When I want to delete it to release some space in my phone or I simply don’t need them, I could just do it without worrying about the money I spend on it.
3. What are the drawbacks of having too many apps on phone?
1. APP裝太多,可能導(dǎo)致內(nèi)存空間不足there’s no enough space / not sufficient storage,沒有空間存照片視頻等其他內(nèi)容may not save photos, videos or other contents;
2. 裝太多APP會導(dǎo)致手機(jī)運行速度變慢slow down the phone / it takes much time to operate / it takes ages to open an app打開APP的時間會很長,而且容易死機(jī)the phone may die easily if you try to open apps;
3. APP太多不好分類,等到要使用的時候可能找不到,因為太亂了too messy,may not find the one you want to use quickly,may get lost in those app logos被APP的標(biāo)志搞暈,再加上很多APP的標(biāo)志很相似look similar尤其是顏色have the same color / have identical color,所以很容易認(rèn)不出來想用的那個may not recognize the app you need;
4. 還可以從浪費時間這個方向來答,因為APP很多都是和娛樂entertainment /leisure有關(guān)的,有很多也是游戲,所以下載太多可能會是個讓人分心的事it is a distraction / they may distract people from working or studying,下載太多之后總是去玩,導(dǎo)致浪費時間it’s a waste of time / spend too much time on using apps,而且有些APP還會收費charge,下載太多也會花很多錢spend extra money。
First of all, it is possible to spend too much time on using applications if people download too many. A lot of apps are games actually, which means that people may waste more time playing rather than working or studying. Besides, this can also slow down the phone, making phone easier to crash. Apart from that, having too many app logos on the phone can make it really hard to find the one you want to use. You could get lost in those logos in similar colors and shapes. So I don’t think it’s useful to have too many on the phone.
APP,get rid of / remove /delete old apps regularly or don’t keep the old ones,或者給自己的app分類整理categorize,防止桌面過亂。
1. Do you like going to parks and/or public gardens?
(If yes:)
Yeah, on the whole I do, as long as the weather’s nice of course! You know, I think they’re nice places to go to get some fresh air and enjoy the natural environment. And I always tend to feel a bit less stressed out when I’m in a garden or park.
(If no:)
No I don’t, because I kind of think there’s not really that much to do in parks. I mean, most of the ones near to where I live have nothing! You know, all you can really do is just wander around, and after you’ve been to them so many times, they kind of get a bit boring, if you know what I mean!
2. When was the last time you went to a park?
Um… let me see…when was the last time?... I suppose it must have been about … it must have been about two or three months ago, a bit before Christmas, cos I remember that day the sky was really clear for a change! And so I thought it would be nice to go out for a walk somewhere, which I did.
3. Do you think the parks and gardens where you live could be improved in any ways?
Yeah I do. I think they could be improved quite a bit. Cos as I mentioned just now, there’s not really that much you can do there, so I think some facilities could be added. For example, it would be nice if there was a café or something where you could sit and enjoy the surroundings with a cup of coffee. And uh.. what else?... Oh yeah, another thing that I think’s lacking is children’s play areas, you know, like climbing frames, swings and slides, because I’ve noticed that most parks have exercise equipment for adults, but nothing really for children. So this is another aspect in which I think parks could really improve on.
4. Would you like to see more parks and gardens in your hometown?
Yeah I would, because we only have a very small number at the moment, and considering there are several million people living here, I think it would definitely be good to have a few more!
5. Do you prefer to relax with your friends in a park or an indoor place?
I’d say I generally prefer to relax with my friends somewhere indoors, because I mean, if I’m meeting up with them in a park, then everything could be ruined by the weather. So it’s a bit easier arranging to meet somewhere indoors. Having said that though, if it’s a really nice day out, then I suppose I would prefer to be outside with them somewhere, like a park.
