Listen to a conversation between two students.
(man) Hey, Jane, did you finish your research paper for class?
(woman) Yeah, I printed it up this morning.
(man) Why do you look so worried then?
(woman) Well, I was just in the cafeteria eating lunch and reading it over one last time when I split some soup on it, and the class starts in fifteen minutes.
(man) How bad is it?
(woman) It’s not huge but you can definitely see it and several of the pages got wet.
(man) What are you gonna do?
(woman) I could just go ahead and hand it in like this and explain to the professor what happened, I mean, you can still read the paper, and the pages should dry out a little by the time class begins. But they’ll still be sort of sticky and wrinkled.
(man) Well, not all professors car e that much about how the paper looks. At least it’ll be in one time.
(woman) I know, it’s just that professor Adams is kind of strict when it comes to handing in research papers, I mean, the format he gave us for putting this paper together was really specific. So the way it looks seems important.
(man) Yeah, well, how about going to the computer lab to print another copy?
(woman) I could, then I’ d have a clean copy to hand in and I wouldn’t have to worry about how the paper looks.
(man) You’d better hurry, though, because there’s usually a line over there.
(woman) I know, and b y the time I get there, wait in line for a computer, print the paper out and come back to class, I’d be late for class. And professor Adams is strict about lateness, too.
(man) I see what you mean.

The woman spilt some soupon the research paper she is going to hand in in the class. There are two possible solutions discussed. The first one is to hand in the paper like this and explain to the professor what happened, since the paper can still read and will dry out. But the professor is strict about the looking of paper. The second solution is to go to computer lab to print a new copy. But she will have to wait in a line and so she will probably be late for the class. And the professor is strict about lateness too. I would recommend the girl to choose the second solution because she can have a new copy of the paper and even if she will be late for the class, she shows the professor that she cares about the looking of the paper and that because of the accident, the lateness is somehow inevitable.

1. 首先一個(gè)人會(huì)描寫一個(gè)與校園生活有關(guān)的問(wèn)題或沖突(主要是時(shí)間,安排)
2. 然后另一個(gè)人會(huì)對(duì)問(wèn)題或矛盾提出2個(gè)解決方案。以及相關(guān)的原因及利弊。
3. 聽(tīng)力時(shí)要注意:對(duì)話中描述的問(wèn)題/沖突是什么?如果解決問(wèn)題(2個(gè)解決方案)?你覺(jué)得哪種方案好,為什么?

不需要太多細(xì)節(jié)。
4. 注意1+2和相關(guān)句型:
A. 提出問(wèn)題(交作業(yè),考試,還書,參加活動(dòng),打工,上課,聽(tīng)講座等)
a) 單純提出問(wèn)題,比如說(shuō)忘記帶東西了,電腦壞了,找人借錢等。
b) 矛盾沖突(特別是時(shí)間上的沖突):出現(xiàn)在對(duì)話的開(kāi)始部分。不必理會(huì)一些打招呼的寒暄的話,重點(diǎn)放在聽(tīng)矛盾是什么,只要記下關(guān)鍵的名詞或動(dòng)詞,及名詞性短語(yǔ)即可。
B. 建議的句型:

1). The man/woman has a problem/situation, which is that….+but/however(如果有沖突的話)
2). The man/ woman gives two suggestion. Suggestion one is… suggestion two is….

或者是 In my opinion/as far as I’m concerned, the best thing for the man/woman to do is….
4). Because I think ….
