一、題型分類和評分過程

托?？谡Z的六道題可以分為獨立和綜合兩個類型(Task 1、2 為獨立題，Task 3、 4 、5 、6為綜合題)。在評分時，考生的答題錄音會在經(jīng)過數(shù)碼降噪處理后被自動分為三組，分別是Task1&2，Task3&5和Task4&6，即獨立任務(wù)(第一組)、校園任務(wù)(第二組)和學術(shù)任務(wù)(第三組);再由經(jīng)過認證的評分人分別對考生三組任務(wù)的錄音進行評測，每道題的評分等級由低到高分別用weak，limited，fair和good來標識，最后六道題的總分將被轉(zhuǎn)換為0~30分的標準分，而考生三組題目的最終得分等級，也會標示在電子成績單上(score report)。關(guān)于評分，托福官方指南OG里面明確指出，托福口語6大任務(wù)的3項評分準則包括：delivery, language use and topic development,， 即表述、語言使用和話題展開能力，這三項考核并無優(yōu)先等級，各占三分之一比重。

二、口語備考方法

(一)獨立口語

口語的一二題可以配合獨立寫作一起練習。另外就是準備一些自己的模版。模版對于那些思路不是特別清晰、容易緊張沒話說同學的托福獨立口語來說還是非常重要的。可以分析總結(jié)一下托?？谡Z會涉及到的話題，幾個大分類之間是會有重合部分的，也就是有些東西是很多個問題都可以用的。將那些寫成模版背下來，將成為你自己的專屬模版。而模版的寫作也是要遵循總分總原則、一句中心論點、幾句分論點、例子加總結(jié)。記得自己測試一下是否可以在限定時間內(nèi)說(背)完。

(二)綜合口語

大家要知道托?？谡Z考試真正的考察的是語言的實際使用能力，換言之就是，考生對于信息傳遞的能力。對比托福口語的題型當我們可以清晰的看到，獨立口語題目考生是否能迅速的表達自己的觀點，綜合口語題目部分就看考生能否準確接收、記錄和轉(zhuǎn)述信息了。

綜合口語有聽力和閱讀進來亂摻和，很多同學一下就懵了。但是事實上，托福綜合口語是最能考量學生之后的“上課能力”的項目之一。所以對于托福綜合口語，要抓住重點和篩選復述的信息，語言表達要流暢清晰。綜合口語的做題思路可以完全看作你的朋友讓你幫忙聽一節(jié)課，過后你迅速的向他傳達這節(jié)課重點的過程。聽課大家都會，所以要解決的問題就是聽懂，畢竟只有聽懂了你才能夠用自己的語言轉(zhuǎn)述。而轉(zhuǎn)述輸出可以也列一個大致的框架，把聽到的內(nèi)容填進空中，再在相關(guān)的地方填上自己的看法。有助于你在考場緊張時依舊能夠有條理的回答。

獨立題的現(xiàn)場15秒準備，對大部分同學而言，是很恐怖的大腦斷片兒的前奏。甚至包括寫作的時候，想到舉例都一臉茫然。所以，要保證現(xiàn)場高品質(zhì)的輸出，一定要在考前搭建自己的專屬語料庫，考場上的15秒準備時間，是用來將題目和你的語料庫進行檢索和信息匹配用的，而不是寄希望于有太多不確定性的臨場發(fā)揮。所以備考階段可以按照話題分類，每一個做一次主題展示演講。比如說環(huán)境問題，那么我們做環(huán)境問題演講的時候可以積累很多語料內(nèi)容，而演講也有助于我們勇敢的口語表達。

語言是個很奇妙的東西。錢鐘書老先生曾拿詠水的古詩來比喻語言的作用。語言可以讓我們相互融合，所謂“君家門前水，我家門前流”;語言也可以讓我們相互誤解，所謂“盈盈一水間，脈脈不得語?！蔽以谇耙黄恼绿岬?，我們的英文表述之所以不夠地道，不光是因為語言本身，從更深層次的角度來說，這其中其實還有地域以及文化因素的差異所導致。

為什么這么說呢?大家不妨一起來思考一下，美國總統(tǒng)所住的white house譯成漢語時為何變成了白宮，而不是白房子?這其中恐怕就要牽扯到文化背景包括政治體制的原因。美國雖然是個年輕的國家，但開國先驅(qū)在建立這個國家時就把一些核心原則寫入《獨立宣言》，比如人人生來平等并享有同等的基本權(quán)利，憲法保護少部分人的權(quán)利和自由，政府應(yīng)當反映個人意志。因此在普通的美國人眼中，他們的house和white house并沒有本質(zhì)上的區(qū)別，即便那是全國行政級別最高的公務(wù)員[微博]住的地方。而在有著幾千年封建傳統(tǒng)的泱泱古國，帝王、家國，“家天下”的觀念已經(jīng)深入人心?！捌仗熘拢峭跬?在土之兵，莫非王臣?！睂τ谏钤凇芭f社會”的普通中國人來說，他打死你都不敢把自己的房子叫“宮”，在那個年代這可是要株連九族的罪名。因此，當white house第一次來到神州大地之時，譯者把它譯作了白宮，因為他們下意識地認為那是美國“皇帝”住的地方。

了解了這些，我們就能夠更好地從根本上去改進我們的“Chinglish Style”. 事實上，即便是母語同為英語但不同地域的Native Speakers，一個美國人在聽到一個愛爾蘭人講到“I will put it on my long finger”時，他也無法立即反應(yīng)出對方所要表達的意思，直到對方說出“I will keep that in mind”才恍然大悟。

回到托?？谡Z考試，我們知道雖然大家在考試過程中面對的只是一臺電腦機器，但實際上我們是在通過電腦錄音的形式同ETS的rater進行交流與溝通。既然是以溝通為最后目的的，那么大家就需要能通過英文語言這樣一種載體的形式，把所要表達的信息呈現(xiàn)出來，并有效地傳達過去，讓rater完全聽懂明白。在保證答即所問的前提下，你能夠讓rater越容易去理解你所要表達的意思，那么理論上講你的分數(shù)就應(yīng)該越高。

而對于去參加托?？荚嚨耐瑢W來說，擺在他們面前的有三座大山，導致他們無法在口語的考查中和ETS的考官進行很好的交流，繼而取得很高的分數(shù)。

首先是表達上的溝通障礙。這個其實就好比我們漢語普通話不同版本的地方方言，因為習慣不同造成了一定程度上的理解困難和溝通障礙。作為一個出自美國的、只是針對母語為非英語國家考生的語言能力測試，筆者認為ETS在表達項并不會給大家設(shè)置太高的標準，只要能夠講的清晰、流利，語調(diào)語速自然以及發(fā)音正確，這一項就不會有太大問題。很多人對“中式發(fā)音”是否會影響甚至決定自己分數(shù)的好壞有很大的擔憂，但在筆者看來這其實并不是衡量你分數(shù)的決定性因素。不是說表達的好壞不重要，而是說在嬌好的外貌長相面前，ETS會更看重你的內(nèi)在的氣質(zhì)和底蘊。即說的是什么(包括結(jié)構(gòu)、邏輯)，以及具體怎樣用這樣一門語言來去表述。而且，很多時候我們說不完說不好，很大程度上是因為自己沒有想清該怎樣去說或者不知道如何去用英文說所導致。

因此，問題又回到了我們開始討論的原點。如何切實提升自身的思維能力和語言能力?第一條提升起來看似比較難，像我們剛才分析的“白宮”個例一樣，需要大家對整個美國地域及民族的文化背景有很深入的了解才能有質(zhì)的提升。但好在托?？谡Z只考查大家六道題

目，需要你重點去了解的無非就是開門見山、總分結(jié)構(gòu)以及因果邏輯關(guān)系等幾大主要原則。這些，在老師的課上都會詳細的講到。
