In today's culture the most popular genre of music is pop and rock music. Pop and rock （1）music are typically upbeat（2） and have a simple but original melody. This makes the music both memorable, uplifting and of course, popular.

在今天的文化中，最流行的音樂(lè)類(lèi)型是流行音樂(lè)和搖滾音樂(lè)。流行樂(lè)和搖滾樂(lè)通常都很樂(lè)觀，旋律簡(jiǎn)單但富有創(chuàng)意。這使得這首音樂(lè)既令人難忘，又令人振奮，當(dāng)然，也很受歡迎。

But from my personal experience, young people in China appreciate pop, hip-hop and R&B the most.

It think this is largely because many people who have been abroad are bringing back a new musical taste.

So boy groups, such as Westlife, and singers, for example, Justin Timberlake, Usher or the Taiwan R&B king, David Tao, become really popular.

And the development of music technology makes listening to music very convenient.

Right now, it only costs you a few hundred yuan to buy a large Mp3, well it’s not iPod, but works just fine.

I listen to music, like, all the time.

And right now I’m most interested in Hip-hop.

It’s young, energetic and so fashionable.
