羅德島設(shè)計學(xué)院是美國最古老也是最聞名的藝術(shù)設(shè)計學(xué)院之一。美國新聞與世界報道的排名，羅德島藝術(shù)學(xué)院的藝術(shù)類專業(yè)全美第一，在耶魯大學(xué)和芝加哥藝術(shù)學(xué)院之上。
除了藝術(shù)類，學(xué)校的平面設(shè)計，工業(yè)設(shè)計，版畫排名第一;繪畫專業(yè)排名第二;陶瓷和攝影排名第三。被譽為藝術(shù)類大學(xué)中的哈佛。
Rhode Island School of Design is a private, nonprofit college founded in Providence, RI in 1877—making it one of the first art and design schools in the US. Approximately 2,480 students from around the world are engaged in liberal arts studies and rigorous, studio-based learning at RISD (pronounced “RIZ-dee”), where they choose from 19 studio majors and earn bachelor’s or master’s degrees in the fine arts, architecture, design or art education. Each year more than 5,800 children and adults also access our specialized studio facilities through RISD|CE courses.
羅德島設(shè)計學(xué)院要求
（1）本科生初申請截止時間：11月1日；常規(guī)截止時間：2月1日
（2）申請?zhí)峤徊牧?/p>
1、成績單：提交最近學(xué)業(yè)的官方成績單譯本
2、SAT或ACT：所有申請者都需要提交SAT或ACT，
3、語言成績：TOEFL最低93，IELTS最低6.5，
4、作品集：12-20件，通過SlideRoom提交(額外費用$10)
5、繪畫作品：提交兩件繪畫樣本，背景為白紙1620
6、兩份寫作

研究生入學(xué)要求申請截止時間：每年1月10日；
語言成績IBT：93 ；IELTS：6.5；
作品集：10-20份。DVD、CD、幻燈片格式均可。電子作品每份不得超過3MB，格式要求為JPG。掃描件或者演示部分的DVD、CD需要提交的格式為視頻或者QuickTimefiles。
羅德島設(shè)計學(xué)院共有19個系，熱門學(xué)科有：建筑、平面設(shè)計、插畫Illustration等。
本科生專業(yè)：服飾設(shè)計、建筑學(xué)、陶藝學(xué)、電影/動畫/視頻制作、家具設(shè)計、玻璃設(shè)計、平面設(shè)計、插圖、工業(yè)設(shè)計、室內(nèi)建筑、珠寶/金工設(shè)計、油畫、攝影、印刷學(xué)、雕刻、紡織品設(shè)計 。
研究生專業(yè)：藝術(shù)史、建筑學(xué)、藝術(shù)設(shè)計教育、陶藝、數(shù)字媒體、家具設(shè)計、玻璃設(shè)計、平面設(shè)計、工業(yè)設(shè)計、室內(nèi)建筑、珠寶/金工設(shè)計、景觀建筑、油畫、攝影、印刷學(xué)、雕塑、紡織品設(shè)計。
