雅思口語part 2相關(guān)話題
There are a lot of foods I like. It is quite difficult to think of one. So, let me talk about a popular menu in my country which is one of my favoritefoods also. It is steamed/plain rice and chicken adobo. “Adobo” is the local name. Adobo can bebeef, pork, chicken, fish or even vegetablesbut I like the chicken adobo particularly.
I will talk about how I cook my very own chicken adobo. A small amount of oil is placed in a heated pan. Then, sauté (fried quickly in a little hot fat) garlic until it turns golden brown. Add in onions. Add the chicken and sauté until it turns a little brown. Pour in about 2 cups of water andlet it boil. After about 30 minutes, add about 2 spoonful of sugar, whole peppercorns and let it simmer. Then add about one fourth cup of so sauce and let it boil for about 5 minutes. Then it is done and ready to be served. You may also add some vegetables like potatoes or fruits like banana or pineapple.
I like it because it is easy to prepare and it is verydelicious. I am not quite sure about itsnutritional benefits but I am sure that we can get some nutrients in it too, especially if vegetables are added.
This recipe is common in my country and I eat it about three to four times a week. I like it because it does not require much effort to prepare and it is also not expensive.
雅思口語借來的有用之物話題
Describe a useful thing you borrowed.
You should say:
what you borrowed
who lent it to you and when
what kind of features this thing has
and explain why you think it is useful.
It’s funny you should ask this question as I actually borrowed something very useful just last week, so it’s very fresh in my memory.
I’ve been doing some D.I.Y. in my apartment lately, I’m trying to do it up so that it looks a bit nicer. I wanted to put some new shelves up, but I didn’t have the right equipment, so I asked my friend Jack if I could borrow his electric drill. I had lent him something a few weeks earlier, so he didn’t mind returning the favour.
Even though on the surface it is just a drill it is extremely versatile and has more features than you might expect. It comes with a wide range of attachments for drilling different sized holes or into different types of material. There are also attachments that turn it into a screwdriver or a sander, to sand down wood and give it a smooth edge.
I’m so grateful he lent it to me, it would have been hard work to drill by hand and it saved me loads of time and energy. I put the shelves up in no time and with minimal fuss.
I’ve always wanted to buy an electric drill, but have never gotten round to it. When you don’t need something it’s easy to put off buying it, but then you don’t have it when you do need it!
雅思口語childhood memory話題
Describe a happy childhood memory。
You should say:
when and where the incident you remember happened
who you were with
what happened exactly
and explain why it is a happy memory.
I grew up very far from most of my family so I only saw them once a year. Every summer I would go to stay with them, while my parents continued working. Although I missed my parents, Iused to really enjoy spending time with my grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. I spent all summer there, nearly two whole months, so from time to time my cousins and I would get bored. We would ask my grandparents if they had any ideas for interesting things we could do. Sometimes they suggested going for a bike ride, sometimes into town to do some shopping. At other times, they showed us a new game to play. Then we were happy again.
One day - it must be about 12 years ago (doesn't time fly!) - all of us got really, really bored and we kept complaining to my grandparents. They were tearing their hair out, trying to think up ideas of where we could go and what we could do. Suddenly, my granddad came up with the idea of going to a new water park that had opened that summer. I hadn't heard about it but my cousins had, and they told me all about it. It was a park with vast numbers of different pools, some inside, some outside. There were water slides as well. And, on top of there wasnot one, but two play grounds with swings, a merry-go-round, see-saws. We were so excited.
We set off and on the way we were all singing songs and laughing. We couldn't wait to get there. When we arrived,my cousins and I ran into the park and changed into our swimming costumes. Then we went looking for the most exciting looking pool, and we found it, one with brightly coloured tiles and slides, we jumped straight in. We played all day in the park and had a lovely lunch, sat on some benches in the sunshine.
My granddad loved a pool that was filled with spa water. It was dark brown and stank of rotten eggs. I didn't wantto go in but he eventually convinced me. I'm pleased he did because thewater was really warm. I'd never swam in water that warm. I didn't want to get out, despite the terrible smell.
I consider it such a happy memory because we enjoyed ourselves so much and I remember so vividly how I felt that day. But there's more to it than just that. When I look back now, I understand how caring my grandparents were and how much they wanted us all to be happy. They wouldhave done anything to help us have a good time. Iappreciate that more now that I'm older andhave children of my own. I hope we thanked them; I can't remember. But, anyway, they were content, I'm sure, to just watch us have an amazing time, playing and laughing in the water
So, as you can see, it was a wonderful day and is one of my favourite childhood memories.
雅思口語有用的APP話題
Describe a smartphone APP that you think is useful.
You should say:
what the app it is
what contents it has
how do you use it
and explain why you think this app is useful.
The App I would recommend is called Instapaper, which you can download from Apple Store.
Instapaper is one of those tools you didn’t know you needed until you use it. It’s my latest go-to tool for remembering and organizing what I want to read. I think this is useful coz I always find myself browsing the web and happening upon a story or two that I definitely want to read, but for whatever reason I just cannot read it at that particular moment. Most of this resort to saving it as a bookmark so you can read it later. But bookmarks are difficult to access on multiple computers.
Instapaper allows you to easily save them for later, when you do have time, so you don’t just forget about them or skim through them. While you’re browsing the web, when you find something you want to remember to read later to click a little icon in your web browser toolbar. That saves all of the text of the article. That’s Instapaper: the critically acclaimed, award-winning app to read web pages on the go, in the air, or on the couch.
